Crane Inspections
Webco offers a complete inspection service which conforms with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and provides a preventative maintenance function as well. Our inspection services can be performed on site , or brought at our facilties depending on the unit.
- Operational inspection of all functions and safety devices.
- Detailed visual inspection of load hooks, load chain or wire ropes.
- Operational testing to determine possible internal gear Problems.
- Check all oil levels in gearboxes.
- Remove covers to check such items as brakes and electrical contacts.
- Perform minor adjustments where required.
- Complete visual inspection of each unit, with detailed written description of any problem areas.
- Certification of crane available
Crane Operations Certification
Follows Regulatons Set out by the Occupational Health and Safety Act R.R. O. 1990, Reg 851 for Industrial Establishments, Section 51 (2) (a)
Safe operation of overhead cranes and underhook attachments training certification Seminar.
Course Outline:
The course will run between 4 to 5 hours and will cover the following:
- Crane Training and Basic Safe Rigging Course.
- Safe operation of overhead cranes
- Different parts of a crane
- Daily crane inspection
Selection and care of rigging equipment - Daily rigging equipment inspections
- Inspection of chain slings
- Looking at actual defective / failed rigging equipment
- We have a four-part video to watch and review as we go through it. Each participant will receive a work book and chain sling inspection kit to keep. “Hands On” training is available. We will practice on one of the cranes in the plant.
- Upon successful completion students will receive a ready-to-frame certificate of achievement card.
